The Granny Flat @ St Mary's

Historic Tain is the ideal base for your Highland get-away. The North Coast 500 and the North Highland Way both pass the doorstep for those keen on cycling and walking. For the golfers we are a short distance to the Royal Dornoch Golf Course as well as having our own 120 year old Tom Morris designed course. The historians among you will love Tain and the surrounding areas for the Pictish Trails, and the Tain Through Time museum will tell of these and The 15th century Pilgrimages. The beautiful beaches of Dornoch, Portmahomack and the Seaboard villages are always worth a visit, you might even see a dolphin or two! The Granny Flat at St Mary's is a self contained one bedroom flat with parking in our driveway. The flat has its own entrance to the side of the building and you'll find a kitchen, bathroom, and a bedroom suitable for two adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern appliances. As we are busy out and about every morning we can offer bread, cereals, tea and coffee for you to help yourself at your own leisure. The bathroom has a shower with a steam facility and a roll top bath to relax in. It also has a pulley so you can hang up your washing at the end of your busy day. We can provide a lockable area for your bicycles if required, please let us know if we can help or provide anything else.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. With views of the Pentland Firth, to the Orkney Islands . Southview is a newly renovated 17th century croft house , located in Portskerra , an old fishing port with slipway and harbour. Being 500m from the famous NC 500 A836 route, Southview has easy access to Thurso (17 miles) nearest town with supermarkets / shopping , and to the west, Betty Hill (13 miles) , with Melvich , Strathy , Farr and Reay beaches waiting to be explored . King room with bay view and private bathroom

The king bedroom is on the ground floor with views of Thurso Bay and Dunnet Head. Within the room are fitted wardrobes, charging points and tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. A continental breakfast is served in the room. Our home is situated above Scrabster harbour, it is a 15-20 minute walk to catch the Orkney ferry. Alternatively it is a great place to stay if you're working in the area or exploring Caithness. If you're passing through on the NC500 this is ideal as a stopping point

Gansclett Croft B&B is set on a working croft in the beautiful surroundings of Caithness. The stunning site is complete with a gorgeous sea-view and the picturesque rolling hills of the Scottish Highlands. The double bedroom comes with a private bathroom. Enjoy a cooked breakfast using our own eggs and home made jam. Located directly off the A99, it is a perfect stop on the NC500 tourist route in a peaceful location. We can also provided storage for motorbikes, bicycles and surf boards.

A stable cottage 150m from the beach, where you can hear the sea from your bed, and see the mountains as you look out of the bathroom window at the view. Very cosy, with wooden floors designed so you can come in straight from the beach :... The house is suitable for two adults, and one child between the age of 5 to 16. The small single room is downstairs, with shower off. Double en suite is upstairs in low ceilinged open plan gallery, approached by winding wooden stairs from living area.

Coastal Cottage with Spectacular Views

Old country cottage built in 1873 set in the small village of Melvich with amazing coastal views and breathtaking scenery. On the North Coast 500 route, this property offers an ideal location for exploring both Caithness and Sutherland. Melvich boasts a sandy beach within a 5 minute walk from the cottage. This property has a private and enclosed garden with private parking. There is an open fire in the living room which would be set by the host. Dog friendly, max 2 dogs.

This converted building in the picturesque village of Melvich has been recently renovated and has amazing sea views including the Orkney islands! Offering WiFi, television, and off-road parking for one car. Also, with the new addition of a woodburning stove, you will certainly not be cold! Ideally situated for exploring the north of Sutherland and Caithness, this area is popular for walking, fishing, surfing, golfing and has one of the most beautiful beaches in the area!

Beautiful Highland Farm -The Old Servants Quarters

The Old Servants Quarters at Clynelish Farm offers simple & compact but comfortable self contained accommodation. Please note: This property has a very steep & narrow staircase making it unsuitable for some people. It is accessed via its own door from the garden & has everything you need for a short break. The space has it's own kitchen, bathroom, lounge & 2 bedrooms. It has a microwave oven & plug in cooking hob for basic cooking. Unfortunately no dogs permitted.

One of our three glamping pods we have on site with a double bed, shower and toilet, a mini kitchen with all your basic needs to cook with, your own decking area and a shared fire pit to enjoy BBQs or toasting marshmallows. Not to mention access to our 17 acres of croft land for you to explore with red deer that often come down to feed near the pods. You only need to bring yourself and enjoy the beauty of the North Highlands!
