On the doorstep of Hamsterley Forest, working farm

Located less than a mile from the edge of Hamsterley Forest, bring your bikes along as we can provide lock up storage, or put on those boots and head out for a walk around the forest. We are a work in progress, working farm, providing a comfortable and warm stay after a day of adventure. Hamsterley village is only 4miles away with a lovely pub with great food and drink as well as the club with great beer! Woodland village is also located nearby too with a pub opening Thursday-Sunday for drinks.

Secluded shepherd's hut, in rural Northumberland

Our beautiful shepherd's hut sits in four acres of secluded woodland in rural Hexhamshire. Enjoy the peaceful solitude, with glimpsed views through the mature oaks onto the North Pennines. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food; or try some home raised, rare breed pork over the firepit grill, then a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

North Pennines National Landscape (AONB)

For better prices see stonecarrs co uk. A warm and cosy cottage, in the heart of the village a perfect base for experiencing the beauty of the surrounding countryside. A pub opposite with their own micro brewery and home cooked food (now only open Thursday to Sunday). There are plenty of footpaths and cycle trails meandering through the beautiful Durham Dales and North Pennines. Within easy reach of the Lake District and Northumberland (Hadrians Wall). Pets are welcome, maximum of 2 pets.

Jessie's Hut

Our first hut (Ben's hut) was so successful, we've built another one !! Set on a working sheep farm, Jessie’s Hut has a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format. There's a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Wool-based insulation and central heating keep the hut cosy warm all year. Things to see include:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), The Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Lead mining Museum and The Metro Centre.

The Lake House

The detached Lake House is set in 11 acres. Ravensworth is an enchanting village with many of the houses dating from the 17th century. The village is defined by its green, and ancient ruined castle, only a few miles from the pretty towns of Richmond and Barnard Castle . A village pub and two wonderful farm shop cafes within walking distance. The Lake House has uninterrupted views of the lake and surrounding woodland. The Lake House can also be booked together with Willow Cottage.
