There is a 2 hour walk to the historic Lime Mine through a Bush Reserve, or just watch the cows meandering pass the house from the window seat. Rotowai Hills, nestled in the Mokauiti Valley, is situated on a working sheep and beef farm. The Rotowai Hills cottage, perched at the valley’s head, offers stunning vistas and magnificent sunsets. We are located 15 minutes off SH4 and between 45 and 1 hr 15 drive to various attractions such as the Pureora Timber trail, Waitomo Caves, Forgotten World Adventures, Hairy Feet, and Mokau Beach. The famous Fat Pigeon cafe and their sister restaurant the Fat Owl is a 20 minute drive away.

Fully self-contained with own kitchenette and bathroom. This is the end attached bedroom of our family home, with own separate entry via lock box. Rural lifestyle but only 5 minutes from town. We have a host of animals to check out - friendly family dog, pony, donkeys, cows, rabbits and chickens. Relax and unwind in your air-conditioned room, by the pool or in the spa - the choice is yours. Close to Waitomo Caves, good stop off on way to Mt Ruapehu and 45 mins from Hamilton.

Gods Rock Cabin - a unique experience

Look out to a forested coastal view and watch the sun go down on the sea or shine on the limestone rocks in the morning . Cabin has all amenities for an amazing off grid glamping experience. Transport to cabin is by 4x4 ( provided with host driving ) a 15 min drive or you can hike through hill country overlooking sea views takes about 35 mins . Car parking at main lodge . Waitomo caves is 30mins , guests must bring their own food for their stay , coffee/tea provided.

Hunts Farm - Te Kūiti

We welcome you to our relaxed and peaceful accommodation, 2km from the main street in Te Kūiti. We are a working farm, where we live onsite with our family, and have accommodation to share with you. The accommodation is set amongst our home and main gardens. Stay here to experience the beauty of rural New Zealand living, with stunning views, yet being located close to town. The spacious deck and outdoor lounge allow you to spread out and make yourself at home.

Golden Ridge Retreat

Kick back and relax in this peacefull offgrid space. Bathe in the beautiful stone bath overlooking the Waikato, or sit on the comfy outdoor couch in front of the fire. The best place for star gazing is from the cedar hot tub. Stunning view from every window. Surounded by native forest and farm land. A delicious breakfast provided including a Sourdough loaf, Greek yogurt, local honey, and muesli.

River Bends

River Bends is a private campsite in the bend of a river flowing through a deep limestone ravine and old Totara and Matai forest, it is situated in open space allowing access to stunning views of the surrounding rock formations, river features and bushland. Composting toilet and clean water on tap are provided at the site, along with picnic table and a small firepit.
