Summer and fall are great times to pick apples, blackberries and other fruit. For wine lovers, there are six wineries in our area offering tastings, music and great food. Many of these locations are with 10-15 minutes of the cabin. Local breweries offer craft beer and live music. The shared fire pit is available to enjoy your favorite beverage.

1850’s Settlers Cabin

The Settlers cabin is located 21 miles from Asheville and 12 miles from Chimney Rock State Park. It is located on 9 acres of private property with Mountain View’s all around. A very private setting with a .5 mile concrete paved driveway, one lane. A great way to get your morning or evening walk in. Apple orchards and nature all around. Wifi Hi speed 370+ &Jacuzzi tub. The bedroom is located in the loft a common area with a queen size and a full size bed both accessible from the stairs.

Come relax in our handcrafted artisan mountain home with spectacular views. Constructed with 150 year old hand hew timbers, slate roof, granite, cobblestone foundation, reclaimed barn wood throughout, and copper counter tops. Our home is truly an old world experience with all of the modern amenities. 7 miles from Hendersonville, 15 miles from Asheville, and 17 miles from Lake Lure. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets from our porches, hot tub, chiminea, hiking and all the beauty of our mountain.

Our sweet retreat

Our Sweet Retreat sits down hill from the main road. With a private paved parking area. The house sits approximately 12 steps below parking area with large wrap around porch. The main living area is open with vaulted ceiling. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and a full bath . Upstairs is a small loft and master suite with full bath, fireplace & private deck overlooking the lake. There is a large stone fireplace on the North end of the cabin and a covered deck on the lakeside.

Authentic log cabin tucked into Black Mountain near the attractions. Peaceful and quiet location close to Hendersonville (30mins), Chimney Rock (15mins) and Downtown Black Mountain (25mins). *The road is open to locals.
